How We Verify
The AutographPass protocol removes human bias from memorabilia authentication. We rely on forensic science, deep data, and strict procedural integrity.
01. Microscopic Ink Analysis
Every item is first examined under varying spectrums of light (UV, Infrared) and at 50x magnification. This allows us to determine the ink type, whether it rests on top of the paper fibers or has bled in, and if there are trace signs of mechanical reproduction (like autopen dot matrices).
What we look for:
- Live ink bridging across paper fibers
- Absence of CMYK dot patterns
- Consistent ink age relative to the medium
02. Algorithmic Stroke Comparison
The signature is scanned and vectorized. Our proprietary software maps the pressure points, speed indicators (tailing), and structural geometry. We cross-reference these vectors against a database of over 10 million known authentic exemplars from that specific era of the signer's life.
| Data Point | Why it Matters |
|---|---|
| Slant Angle Variance | Forgeries often have rigid, unnatural slants. |
| Terminal Velocity | The speed at which the pen leaves the paper at the end of a name. |
| Proportional Baseline | The relative size of capital vs lowercase letters. |
03. Dual-Analyst Blind Review
Technology informs the decision, but experts make it. Two forensic analysts independently review the data packet and the physical item. Neither analyst knows the other's conclusion. If they disagree, the item is escalated to a senior review board. Only when consensus is reached is a certificate issued.
